Juno Task
The filming was hard as we could not catch the right shots as we were not allowed further than a certain distance from the school. This was then hard for us as we had to try to get the right shots even though it was difficult to get the right shots which would be accurate for the Juno opening scene. By trying to find the shots we struggled with time and therefore we took longer filming they we were meant to. However by filming for longer and taking our time I feel that we produced an overall higher quality and more accurate footage. The filming I found easy as we took a couple of shots and this allowed us to chose the best ones overall which we felt would fit the footage best.
Our story board was pretty accurate however the drawings were not as good and therefore some of our shots were not properly shown. The timings were not always accurate as the change in the footage of Juno is so quick that it is not always on time. The storyboard though did help us as it gave us an overview of the whole footage and after watching it time and time again the storyboard felt very accurate as we changed it and added bits to help us.
We were in a group of three which meant we had more views and opinions of which shot and area we were taking it in. This however was a weakness as we all had different views and this is what caused our timing to be a little off. However by having a group of three this meant that one person was left out so we kept rotating the camera and made sure that everyone was involved. This made sure that we all got experience in filming for the first time. As a group I thought our shots were very accurate and we all decided that we would repeat the shots so that we could chose the best one instead of doing it once and being wrong.
For filming for the first time it made us more experienced and it made us think about every shot and what we could do differently in order to make it look better. By using Premier again this made me feel more confident in using this and that I felt like I can use it more often.
Compared to the original and the resources we had I felt that it was very close to the original with a couple of shots looking odd when it is next to the original.
I feel like I am more confident using the camera and using Premier. I feel like next time I will be more strict on the time limit given and that I will be quicker as I am more familiar with the resources that are available.
