Genre Picture Task

We were given this task and we were given 4 genre's that we had to portray in each picture that we took. Our 4 genre's were:

• Comedy
• Romance
• Thriller
• Horror

                                                                          Comedy
We tried to show the comedy genre by using the prop and by seeing something that could come across as humorous to the audience and we thought this would be best by showing a head by the toilet. The prop of the wig stood out and its in the middle which shows the wacky hair that immediately signals as Comedy. The angle of the photo shows the head in the toilet which immediately shows this character has ended up somewhere he shouldn't be.

                                                                       Romantic
We tried to show the romance by showing the connection with the hands and the side by side view that thy are both looking in the same direction. The prop we used help show the male and female love as what the audience could see it was a romantic genre.

                                                                       Thriller
We showed the thriller by keeping a straight face and it looks like he is up to no good. We tried to show the suitcase to show that the genre thriller is usually about unravelling a mystery so we tried to create a very mysterious feel.

Horror



We turned the lights out and created a flash on the front person to darken out the fact that there was a person behind the front man. We kept the light only on the first person to show the genre of horror that there is someone behind just like in a horror movie. We kept straight faces as to show that this was a serious matter.
